About

We founded the Henley Mile Brewery in 2020 out of a love real ale that is brewed locally and authentically. After talking about it for years the three founders decided to give it a go. We were set on using only quality & pure ingredients at Henley Mile to make some amazing session beers.

The Henley Mile was born in 2015 as an idea and a small brewery set up in a garage in Henley in Arden a few years later. Over the past years, our tiny idea has blossomed into a thriving brewery right on the Henley Mile itself.

In 2025 we relocated the brewery to the Old Stables to the rear new Henley Mile Tap Room, next door to the White Swan public house.

We are here right now serving our three real ales and a few select guest ales and craft beers

The Henley Mile History

Henley in Arden had a historic place on the route from Birmingham to London and was the first town to take an overnight stay when traversing South, including our location at The Henley Mile Tap Room.

As such, many taverns, inns, bordellos and asylums sprang up to cope with the traffic. At one point, on the ½ mile long High Street, 28 pubs could be found.

Over the years, it became a local tradition, to visit each pub, and starting at one end of the High Street, the challenge being to visit each pub on one side of the road, cross-over, and visit each pub on the other side on the way back home; hence, The Henley Mile.

Based on this story we have named our brewery and Tap Room in memory of this local legend.
